MFR Massage (Myofascial Release Massage)

Fascia (often called connective tissue) is a three dimensional matrix which intertwines, surrounds, protects and supports every structure of the human body. Fascia shortens, solidifies and thickens in response to trauma, anything physically or emotionally injurious to the body, inflammation and poor posture which in turn causes the body to "bind down". MFR is a specialised, hands on therapy working on the twists and turns of the bound down fascial network to release restrictions and enable stuck, hardened and dehydrated areas to become pliable, soft and hydrated and is used worldwide in a variety of treatment and rehabilitation approaches.

Myofascial massage is of particular benefit to:

*Athletes with sports injuries                                                   *Individuals with chronic pain/fatigue

*Stress related conditions                                                         *RSI sufferers

*Headache/migraine sufferers                                                 *Individuals with neurological dysfunction

*Postural irregularities & pain

A slow, gentle process, MFR is an individualised therapy and can be undertaken as single sessions, usually at least an hour in length.
